Rendering

Cement and acrylic render for new builds, extensions and tired brick walls, finished smooth, sponged or textured.

A good render changes the look of a whole building and protects the wall underneath. We render new brick and block work, extensions and older homes that need a fresh face.

  • Cement render and acrylic render
  • Smooth, sponge and textured finishes
  • Render repairs and patching
  • Preparing walls for paint or texture coating

Every job starts with the surface: we clean down, repair cracks and set out edges and corners before the first coat goes on.

Questions about rendering

What’s the difference between cement render and acrylic render?

Cement render is a sand and cement mix that sets hard and gives a traditional finish. Acrylic render has polymers added, so it’s a little more flexible and less prone to fine cracking. We’ll recommend one based on the wall, the look you want and your budget.

Can you render over existing brick?

Usually, yes. The brickwork needs to be sound and clean, with cracks repaired first. Painted brick needs extra preparation or a bonding coat so the render grips properly.
