When is the best time to paint outside?
Mild, dry weather. Most exterior paints need air and surface temperatures of around 10 °C or more and no rain for several hours after painting, which makes spring and autumn ideal in most of Australia.
Do you prepare the surfaces before painting?
Yes. Walls are cleaned, flaking paint is scraped back, and cracks and gaps are filled and sealed before any paint goes on. Preparation is what makes an exterior finish last.
